Experiencing God personally came  in an usual way and under the most uncommon circumstances. Visiting a crack house with a friend, Howard Terrell upon getting high, heard the voice of God and began to verbally speak out, “I’ve found the answer.” Those present dismissed his outburst as him being high, (tripping the term used), however the voice continued throughout the next weeks and he being responsive to the voice was ministering to everyone and anyone willing to listen to him. One night at work the same voice spoke telling him he would be receiving a call that would take him away from work. A few hours later that call came. Though he didn’t know what to expect, the call was an unfortunate one, his great-grandmother had pass. and as the voice had spoken, he had to leave work. Talking with his mother about the voice and the new message instructing him to go to by a local river and there give his life to Christ, his mother Dr. Emma Terrell confirmed God had his hand on her son and together they did just as the voice had instructed. From that day Rev. Howard Terrell has never looked back. Within the next year faithfully attending church, reading, studying and receiving revelation, under the leadership of Pastor Clifton Sawyer, Reverend Howard Terrell was ordained a minister of the Gospel.

With prayer and patience to hear God’s direction for his ministry, Rev. Howard  made the decision to follow his mother’s vision and ministry at New Beginners Church. A few years later he became the Associate Pastor. With a great gift of revelation and evangelism, outreach, television and radio broadcasting drew many of the current members and relationships with other clergy members. Those relationships lead to spiritual and leadership training, workshops and conferences. After founder and senior pastor, Dr. Emma Terrell had to transition to be home to assist her husband with health issues, she ordained Reverend Howard Terrell as Pastor of New Beginners Church to present.

An opportunity to minister about the good news of Jesus Christ is the passion of Reverend Howard Terrell. See our schedule for church events and upcoming broadcast of Faith Encounters and Midnight Encounters.
